[Book Review] How The Cookie Crumbles By Jaime Samms & Scribblers Coffee Co. Danish Pastry Flavored Coffee

Set in the small coastal town of Bluewater Bay where a popular tv show (Wolf’s Landing) is filmed, How The Cookie Crumbles follows two men, Frederic and Blaire, getting a second chance at love after Blaire, as Frederic's best friend Alicia puts it, "got all fickle on you and passed you over for a shinier toy" (Alicia is sassy as all heck and we love her).

[Book Review] Minotaur By J.A. Rock & Peet’s Coffee Warrior Grounds

Minotaur is 60% coming-of-age story and 40% monster hunt adventure. Set in the 1930’s, the book opens with 16 year old Thera Ballard coming to live at Rock Point Girls’ Home, an all-girls orphanage, after the last of her family washes their hands of the troublesome teen. Mad at the world and determined to hate everyone and everything, Thera feels a strong kinship with the Minotaur, a vicious sorceress with her own anger problems who once went on bloody rampage through a nearby town until she was imprisoned in the labyrinth.

[Book Review] The Circus Of The Damned By Cornelia Grey & Bean Devil Coffee Co. Oblivion

The Circus Of The Damned is set in a shadowy Victorian-esque world sprinkled with a few steampunk elements (I pictured it with kind of a Tim Burton goes to the circus kind of vibe) and populated with a cast of unique circus performers with unusual abilities, highly organized street thugs, and one frustratingly debonair devil.

[Book Review] Precious Metals By L.A. Witt & Paramount Coffee Let It Snow: Mocha Mint

Precious Metals is the second book set in L.A. Witt’s Metals Universe – a series of standalone historical action/adventure romances set in a steampunk version of the Klondike Gold Rush – and follows the story of a young man desperate to return to the frozen Klondike gold fields to save his kidnapped younger brother, the Mountie assigned to help him, and the deep emotional and physical connection the two men develop while on their dangerous quest.

[Book Review] Noble Metals By L.A. Witt & Heritage Coffee Klondike Blend

I love L.A. Witt books and I love steampunk, so when I saw that L.A. Witt had written a steampunk book I just about squealed with joy (confession – there was actual squealing and maybe even a little chair dancing). A historical action/adventure romance set in an alternative history that combines steampunk with the Wild West/Gold Rush, Noble Metals is a tale of two men searching for precious noble metals (namely gold and platinum) and discovering an even greater treasure in the love they find within each other’s arms.
