The Monstrous is a collection of some truly dark tales, but they're not just tales of horror and depravity for the sake of shock value - these are stories that will stick with the reader and make them think, even though the thoughts conjured may not be truly comfortable to contemplate.

Monday Morning Coffee News
Happy Monday! A quick recap of some interesting coffee-related news stories that caught my eye last week: Starbucks' new red holiday cups are creating quite a stir, you may want to rethink putting a smart brewer on your Christmas list, and Emerge Lab launched a Kickstarter campaign for Dripo, a 3-in-1 portable iced-drip coffee maker.

Coffee & Maple Syrup Glazed Turkey Bacon Recipe
A few weeks ago I bought a bottle of 100% Organic Maple Syrup for the first time - and it was an eye-opening experience. I'd never had the real stuff before and I fell in love with the subtler sweetness, not as overpowering as the fake stuff I've been using, and the just all over more mellow, natural taste. Cafe Mocha Nightcap Recipe

The Cafe Mocha Nightcap recipe I want to share with you guys is essentially just making a rich hot chocolate and adding a shot of coffee booze, but it's perfect for cozy winter nights around the fire, alone or with company. Its rich and decadent tasting, with a nice boozy kick, and, once again, super easy to make! (You may be noticing a pattern here - I'm a big fan of simple recipes with minimal ingredients).
