Homemade Dairy-Free, Gluten-Free Pumpkin Spice Creamer
Fun little factoid about moi - I am lactose intolerant. Despite this, I still tend to indulge in creamer in my coffee and just live with the side effects. Recently, I decided to try getting away from that and so I set out to start getting dairy-free creamer, but the array of flavors was sadly lacking, so I decided to make my own. I figured "how hard can it be?", get some non-dairy milk (coconut in this case), some pumpkin puree, and some pumpkin spice and throw it together. It ended up being a little more difficult than that, but through some trial and error I found a recipe that…

[Book Review] Led Astray: The Best Of Kelley Armstrong By Kelley Armstrong & Ghost Town Coffee Roaster Stonehouse Espresso
Kelley Armstrong is a master storyteller, a fact made abundantly clear in this “best of” collection. There are 23 stories featured in this book, 21 previously published and 2 brand new, never before seen tales. Fans of Kelley Armstrong will recognize some familiar characters and settings, and some new, from the author’s Otherworld, Cainsville, Darkest Powers/Darkness Rising, and Age of Legends series. The only series I have read is the Darkest Powers (and that was years ago), but I was able to enjoy every story in this collection, so no worries for readers who are unfamiliar with any or all of these series.

Also a Kansas City company made a special blend of coffee for the Pope's U.S. visit, Whole Foods Markets 25¢ coffee is coming to an end, Starbucks adds new Toasted Graham Latte to their menu, and macchiatos can now be found at Dunkin Donuts.

DIY Cold Brew Coffee Concentrate (with step-by-step pictures!)
With highs still in the 90's where I live, iced cold brew coffee is perfect for these sweltering afternoons and muggy evenings. If you've never tried cold brew coffee, it's got a smoother, milder taste than traditionally brewed coffee and actually packs more caffeine per cup. I love this cold brew coffee concentrate because it's so cheap and easy to make, not to mention super versatile. It's a concentrate, so you simply dilute it to taste by adding ice, water, and/or creamer to get it just the way you like it for a delicious cold coffee drink or you can dilute it and heat it up to make hot coffee with a more…
